The Weeks are Coming and Going...
I can't believe tomorrow will be 18 weeks for this pregnancy. What a whole new world this is. Dan and I found a crib and changing table yesterday that we will be ordering today or Monday. We also found a rear facing jogging stroller, which Dan is very excited about.
Tuesday, we are scheduled for a level II ultrasound with a high risk OB due to the genetic disorder that I am a carrier for. I really believe that our baby will not have the disease. I'm convinced that God wants to break this curse with our family and recieve much glory! We still informed our doctor and are following through with a level II ultrasound, but won't be doing amniocenticis or anything. We can wait until the baby is born for further testing.
I'm excited to see our baby, again. It will be reassuring. Although I listen to the heartbeat everyday, I'm still not feeling movement (come on, baby!), but I guess that is to be expected for a first timer. Yesterday, I was telling the baby to kick me. Haha. It was quite funny. The baby can hear, now, (or so we have read), so we are talking to him/her, which is fun.
Dan wrote the baby a poem yesterday, For now you're swimming, I undestand. You're singing the rubber ducky song. When you get borned please don't be scared. Your daddy's a man his hair is just long! Too cute. Friday at Ruby Tuesday's our waitress said "Hi, Ladies!" Guess Dan's curly, long locks are due for a trim!
I'm rested up after the conference, and will be posting an update regarding that on the deep thoughts blog. Let's just say, though, it was amazing and exhausting and exillerating all at the same time!
