Baby Boy is Here

Update #5 7.18.08, 3:46am- Just want you all to know that after a horrifying labor and delivery, Ezekiel Perry Dawson whom we will call Zeke arrived with apgar scores of 9 and 9, a full head of red hair and weighing in at 7lbs 8oz.

We've now been up for 24 hours straight, so I'll update tomorrow with pics and the full story.  We gotta get some rest.

I appreciate your positive thoughts and prayers.  It was a miracle that we made it through finally with a vaginal delivery.

Don't like the word horrifying... ahhhh.... glad you and red headed baby are well... I was hoping for red over here but so far still a little bald... lol

I couldn't wait to check your blog this morning. I was getting worried about you at bedtime last night with no update. I wondered if C-section had been required after all. I'm so glad it wasn't. I'm sorry you had a horrifying experience! BUT, I can't wait to see pictures of baby Zeke and all of his red headed glory!! Congratulations, Mama!!

Congratulations!

The first thing I said to David this morning was, "it is a girl or a boy?" He said, "I haven't heard." So I looked on your website this morning and there was your birth announcement. It was nice to know that you have a baby boy to enjoy. When I saw that he had red hair, I thought that is because I prayed that he be born. Then I thought that Dan had red hair in his beard. So your son gets his red hair from his Dad.

Thanks to Mandy (good work) & for keeping your website so current and for the phone call from Dan.

Praise God!! Lord, welcome this new family home, Fill them with peace and give them rest. Let each nap taken for Dan and Mandy be filled with restorative rest. Help Mandy to heal quickly.Amen!
