I couldn't take my eyes off the sky as I attempted to drive home, yesterday. It was behind me filling my side and rear view mirror. I just had to stop on the side of the road in two different places to get some good shots. Amazing how lovely and different it can be every time the sun goes down, and yet that glory will pale in comparison to the blessed light and glory of Jesus. Blows my mind.

I drove an hour and a half south of Indy to have lunch with some friends in Metamora, IN. I took the slow, but direct route rather than the interstate. It was a perfect day for a trip through the scenic countryside. I had some extra time and pulled off the road here and there for some interesting photos.

This is a funny one because its just weed like grass that was growing on the edge of the road. There was a former corn field and some trees behind it. The sky was so blue. I got up close shots of the grass, but you can see the trees and the sky behind. Kind of cool.

Since then, I've lost a few pounds, cut off the last of my bleach blond hair and grown it out to my natural color, which thanfully, is still reddish blonde. I was afraid it would be darker than it is. Its not fun to look back at photos where I am so overweight, but I've spent a great deal of my married life trying to overcome all of the emotional and physical troubles with weight.

It is amazing to me that weight transformation (which is still taking place--currently, I've lost the 10 pounds I gained while being pregnant and ttc this past year) ah hem, this transformation did not begin to occur in my life until the awakening of my heart to the knowledge of Jesus and the love of God. I like that fact because I know how hard I've tried to change and transform myself to no avail, yet I see evidence of transformation in my life all because of Jesus!
